Comments:

Tyres:
A variety of tyres are being used on the middleweight GPX, with Bridgestone BT45s "In the dry they are brilliant, in the wet they are good", "I rate them as 9/10 (dry) and 7/10 (wet)" and Continentals "Very good for a cheap tyre", "Great in the wet", "Seem to hold the road well in most circumstance bar diesel spills!", "…have been advised that Continentals are the way to go" proving the popular choices. There were also mentions for Michelin Macadams "No complaints", "Good", "Fairly good, but seem a bit twitchy in the wet" and Metzeler ME33/99s. For those of you wanting to retain the recommended front tyre size, your choice is restricted to the Dunlop K205s, thankfully these are, on the whole, well liked.

Exhaust:
The genuine Kawasaki exhaust system is well liked "Nice twin pipes" while it lasts! The Motad Nexxus 4-1 is without doubt the most popular choice of aftermarket replacement system, with most praising its price and build quality. However it does appear to be a bit on the quiet side and there were a couple of comments questioning its longevity. For those wanting something other than the Nexxus, have a look at the Micron 2-1 system. Owners wishing to retain a 4-2 system should check out the Jama system "Exhaust is spot on, love it".

Brakes:
EBC pads are very popular, with owners using either EBC Green or EBC Gold items.

Suspension:
The majority of 600Rs are still using the genuine Kawasaki set up, however whilst some seem to like it "seems very smooth and coping with all I've thrown at it so far - perhaps due to the greasing points which allow you to keep the bearings lubed up" other aren't too keen "The OE shock is the only thing I'm not happy with", "Over-sprung and under-damped - as usual on a Kawasaki sports bike. As for replacements try an Ohlins rear shock "The business when it comes to handling".

Other mods:
Flip screen "Makes a big difference at high speeds".
